We have received unsettling news that a Tik Toker based in Kano state, Junaidu Abdullahi (Abusalma) was arrested for calling for a peaceful protest against widespread hunger across the

Haruna would have been sentenced to prison due to hunger. We intervened and ensured that he was given a fair trial.

Haruna was caught attempting to steal rice and maize from a home to eat. While the stolen items were recovered, the homeowner reported the incident to the police
